Roger joined Brown in June 1973 as Technical Service Manager. Later in 1984 he was promoted to VP of Technical Services where he currently provides technical leadership in developing and evaluating new processing technologies and initiatives. He enjoys “hands on” work in customer plants as well as conducting process evaluations, audits, training and providing technical guidance for both customers and company. His accomplishments include co-inventing a method for computer controlling juice finisher pressures to achieve consistent juice yield and quality.

Roger has presented many technical papers at both domestic and international conferences on juice extraction, citrus oil recovery, pulp recovery, and other citrus extraction processes. Roger is a native Floridian - born in Stuart Florida. He obtained a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences from Florida State University and M.S. degree in Agriculture from the University of Florida Food Science and Human Nutrition Department. He has served on the International Citrus & Beverage Conference planning committee since 1976.

Outside of his job with Brown, Roger is actively involved in a volunteer wildlife education, rescue and rehabilitation operation along with his wife Joan.
