Brown Oil Extraction technology is inherently designed to adjust to
changing fruit conditions. Use of discrete equipment allows for continuous removal
of peel oil while leaving the fruit intact. The free oil mixture produced reduces
centrifuge requirements, eliminates the need for post-processing, requires no enzymes,
and produces 100% pure citrus oil in about 15 minutes.

Brown customized sizers offer the ability to adapt to accurately size
and distribute various types of citrus fruit for processing. The volume of fruit
to be processed and the types and numbers of extractors to be utilized determines
the configuration of the sizer. The configuration of the sizer is the combination
of the number of “runs” or sizing lanes and the length of the sizer
or number of “bays”.

Brown extractors are part of the BOSS (Brown Optimized Smart Space)
System, a revolutionary concept in improving processing throughput, efficiency and
cleanability. Feed rates to each extractor are closely monitored and automatically
adjusted to ensure maximum processing capacity. The fully automated system provides
instant analysis and data collection, allowing operation at the highest efficiency.
Clean-in-place (CIP) technology is integrated into the entire system ensuring a
high level of sanitation and minimal labor.

Brown extraction systems produce the finest tasting fresh and concentrated
juice products. The reaming principle used in our Premium Juice Extractors is very
similar to a hand reamer used at home. Brown extractors use air cushioning to maximize
yield while leaving the peel intact, minimizing oil and off-flavors from entering
the juice. The result is a fresh squeezed juice with wholesome flavor, vibrant color,
juicy pulp and low peel oil.

Brown finishing systems ensure that the high yields attained in our
extractors are realized in the finished product. Using centrifugal force, paddle
and screw applications, Brown finishers separate juice and pulp in a method that
minimizes pressing and shearing of the product. Reduced bitter components and lower
viscosity along with significantly more whole pulp cells are the result.
Byproduct finishers include built-in sensors and automation that constantly monitor
and adjust finishing pressure based on incoming material factors to provide a consistent
end product with minimal bottom pulp.
